About this vehicle

1994 VW Polo GT Coupe 38000 miles from new, a very original car that has been never messed with unlike many others. This car is one of less than 50 left on the road making it a very rare classic car. The car has been off the road for over 20 years and has just been subjected to a very comprehensive recommissioning resulting in many safety critical components being replaced with OEM quality replacement parts. No stone has been left unturned.During the recommissioning it became clear that the car contained very little corrosion issues to deal with only minor repairs to the body and its factory underseal have been required. Due to this I have accessed most of its cavities and re applied wax rust preventative to keep it this way for many years to come. (Rust free) The car presents itself very well due to the careful and sporadic use over the last 33 years, the paintwork is the original factory applied Tornado Red. Due to age, use and storage this is not perfect and retains its story with patina. There are a few minor car park dings but nothing major. As can be expected the interior is all original and is in VGC Only two vey minor and out of view small cigarette burns to report. (probably done by the first owner 1994-1997). The car was one of the last Polo Mk2Fs off the production line built in May 1994 it was road registered September 1994, one month after production had ceased. The car has resided in the south of England for most of its life and showed no evidence of winter usage at all. (No salt and grit deposits in the underside.)Due to the level of detail employed during recommissioning the car drives as a VW Polo GT did when brand new and it is certainly the best one I have ever driven. (I have restored show winning classic VWs for 20 years now.) It is realistically one of the best and most original VW Polo GT Coupes in the country. Unfortunately due to the car coming from a deceased estate (its second home) I have no paperwork of any previous servicing or repairs. I can however supply a full written report of all works done in my ownership, its condition when I got it and its current condition. Rest assured the car now wants for nothing and is in its best working condition. It is clear that the car was kept by a VW enthusiast and looked after as such. Indeed its long time VW stablemate is for sale on ebay also which has equally been well kept and worth its asking price. From now on the car deserves to be taken to shows, used and admired and pampered as it should be.Running costs for this Polo is about as low as you can get for an everyday useable classic. But remember , this car is from the 1990s and as such it has no power steering, no power windows, no sat nav, no engine management lights, no bluetooth etc. Saying that it should be more reliable than any car that has!If you are looking for something to modify, race, rally please look elsewhere! I have spent many meticulous hours to restore this car back to this standard and you will not find a better classic VW for anywhere near this money!
The mileage has increased slightly due to it being such a fabulous Polo GT to drive and believe me they were a massive engineering improvement over the standard Polo.
Viewing is by appointment only, test drive upon proof of valid insurance. Only view if you have permission from your other half as I value the time I have on this planet also! I can do whats app walk round video. But viewing is essential to appreciate its condition.This car represents a solid low maintenance investment and plenty of smiles per gallon. No PXs No swaps-stories-BS taken. Car will only change ownership upon cleared funds received.
