THE LISTING
About this vehicle
Toyota Starlet GT Turbo - 1994 mk3.I've owned this car for almost half of my life - 16 years. I've driven it daily for many years, shown it at endless shows, taken it on track and travelled the country. I was an avid forum user before Facebook ruined that and was a well known member of the community along with the car. Over the last 6 years the car spent most of it's time in a garage and then parked under cover down the side of my house before some life changing events meant I've had to sort it out and sadly I have to let it go. So with a heavy heart I've spent the last year working through bits and bobs to bring it back to life ready to move it on. I have to stress that I will be actively leaning towards buyers that show a genuine interest and passion for keeping this car for the long term. I've no interest in selling to a breaker or dealer of any kind. I'd rather be buried in the car than see it torn apart for parts.

I recently replaced both outer sills with Ford KA sills which is a common process with no EP8x sills available. They weren't terrible but looked scabby inside and I've been a welder fabricator for over 10 years. Galvanised sills, painted and undersealed afterwards, also painted inside with copper primer and then Hammerite wherever possible after welding, cavity wax throughout. I also remade a few of the brackets that hold the side skirts on as these fall apart on all EP82s. All plastic "nuts" have been replaced with rivnuts and stainless hardware.
I painted the engine bay when I forged the engine in 2016 as well as doing a general refresh of things. I recently painted much of the front end again behind the bumper after removing and sealing a few scabby bits of surface rust.
The ECU had died during it's 6 years sat off the road so I transferred the map to a new unit and to be safe I retarded the timing manually at the distributor and reduced the boost to 1.2 bar so that I could get the map checked to ensure everything is good but I haven't had chance. So it runs great but it'll be down on that 250bhp and will want fine tuning on a dyno again to be at it's full potential.
I recently painted the front bumper, bonnet, grill, headlights, passenger wing and door. I've painted 5 cars and done numerous panels in the past so I'm experienced enough to do a decent job but it's not perfect. The car does have a few marks around it obviously - it's 32 years old, but it's very presentable and sits well at all the local shows that I attend regularly.
All inspections are welcome (within reason lol), I'm happy to take genuinely interested people (with the money to buy it) out for test drives but will not be letting anyone drive it.
Windscreen has a crack at the top on the passenger side and the seal is missing.Driver's window needs a helping hand going down, but comes up fine.
I'm happy to talk to people in the messages and answer questions. I also have more pictures and videos including doing the sills and the engine build for anyone who wants to see them. All photos in the listing are as it sits right now.
Please feel free to get in touch.
Thanks for looking.
Adam.
