• The car is completely original apart from its upgraded cross spoke alloys. It was registered towards the end of Mk2 Metro production and as such it makes it quite collectable. Another benefit of it being a late Mk2 model is that it can run on unleaded petrol without fear of harming the engine.
• The mileage is showing as just over 63,000 and it is lovely condition throughout. Finished in Flame Red with the original side Octagon decals and grey cloth seats with requisite red stripes, it also has the correct red carpets and seat belts front and rear plus Metro embossed floor mats. The rare sunroof storage bag is present in the boot.
• The car has been recently serviced and as a result drives well with no warning lights. The oil and anti-freeze have been changed. New oil and air filters along with spark plugs, rotor arm, and distributor cap have been fitted. The fuel ystem has been completely drained and filled with new E5 petrol. The gearbox was rebuilt a few thousand miles ago meaning the syncro is smooth between changes. The Hydragas suspension has recently fitted with regassed units by Ian and Dawn of Hydragas and Hydrolastic Service.Hydrolastic Service. Two new tyres have been installed following th MOT advisory along with a new battery. The MOT runs until September 2027.
• A very solid and smart example supplied with a Heritage Certificate. It’s hard to look beyond this one if you want an original car.
• There is one small tear on the back of the passenger seat and part of the red strip on the drivers seat is missing (see photos). There has been a small amount of welding carried out in the boot. (see photos) Apart from this the car is is great condition and has had Lanoguard underbody rust protection applied.
