About this vehicle
1971 Porsche 911 Targa, original bahia yellow paint. Imported from dry state Nevada in 1997 by previous owner. LHDA good looker and a reliable commuter car for several years then stored in 2006 for 20 years! Have not tried to start it, still has 20 year old petrol in the tank which of course needs draining out beforehand. Chrome work mostly very good. Bodywork has suffered a bit with rust (I have photographed the worst areas) which I would say are repairable.2 keys, doors still lock with a positive 'click' V5
Historic status listed on V5 (so assume can drive without mot & tax once she is roadworthy)Floors are excellent. Looks to have been under sealed which has done an excellent job of protecting the underside of the car.
Last on the road in 2006 so wants all the usual recommissioning work. Very honest and original example.

NB Nearest car ferry to me is Wightlink's Portsmouth to Fishbourne route. Others are Wightlink's Portsmouth to Ryde (foot passengers only - if you want to view before bidding), or Wightlink's car ferry Lymington to Yarmouth, or Red Funnel car ferry Southampton to Cowes.
On 07-Sep-26 at 16:01:06 BST, seller added the following information:As requested by folks, I attach some interior phots showing the front and rear seats and door cards all in great condition, along with the solid floor as previously described. NB I reverse towed the car it into my driveway with reverse gear engaged and the crankshaft turned nicely indicating all is well with the engine and gearbox. Please let me know if there any other questions. Great car, wish I could keep it. Happy bidding
