American themed the US culture exerted an increasingly powerful influence over British tastes. The PA combined American inspired styling with dimensions better suited to European roads. The very first PA’s had the distinctive dog-leg’ windscreen, pronounced tail fins, elaborate grille, and the “3 piece” rear windscreen that was phased out after a year or two. A generous bench seat to the front allowed 6-person seating in comfort. Other features of the early models are the stainless-steel gutter rails, split-top rear indicators, narrow front quarter lights, early boot mouldings.
