1992 Volkswagen Corrado G60 – Extensive Restoration – Exceptional Condition

This is an outstanding example of Volkswagen’s supercharged Corrado G60, presented in exceptional condition following a comprehensive cosmetic and mechanical restoration. More than £14,000 has been invested in the car, with an enormous history file containing hundreds of invoices and receipts supporting the work completed.

 The bodywork, silver paintwork, interior, engine bay, wheels and underside all present beautifully, and considerable attention has been given to the smaller components and finishing details.

Restoration and mechanical work

The restoration and recommissioning took place principally between 2020 and 2023. The history includes invoices for extensive braking, steering, suspension, cooling, supercharger, exhaust and general mechanical work, alongside hundreds of receipts for individual parts, fixings, clips, nuts and bolts.

In January 2022, at 184,500 miles, the car underwent a major programme of specialist work at JabbaSport. The invoice totalled £4,233 and included approximately 30 hours of specialist labour. A number of the major components had already been purchased separately, meaning this was not simply an invoice for expensive bolt-on modifications—it records a substantial amount of hands-on mechanical refurbishment, installation and recommissioning.

The JabbaSport work included a supercharger service, reconditioned steering rack, water pump, power-steering components, rear wheel bearings, braking components, brake lines and hoses, rear stub axles, front anti-roll bar components, auxiliary belt equipment, fluids, filters and numerous associated parts.

Further specialist work was completed by Stealth Racing in May 2022 at 186,187 miles. This included work involving the power-steering pump, brake calipers, handbrake cable, VDO gauges, brake fluid and gearbox oil.

In June 2023, at 186,898 miles, the car was serviced and a complete exhaust system and new pre-catalyst lambda sensor were fitted. The history also contains earlier invoices documenting additional braking work, suspension components and exhaust-related repairs.

Supercharger and performance

The history file contains several JabbaSport invoices covering the G60 supercharger and performance upgrades over the years. These include an S4 supercharger rebuild, later Stage 2 supercharger services, a 68mm pulley and chip upgrade, induction equipment, oil cooler and ignition components.

The car is understood to produce approximately 200 bhp. There is no current rolling-road printout, so this is not being advertised as a verified dyno figure, but it is consistent with the documented G60 upgrades fitted to the car.

Mileage

The current mileage is 187,045. Although this is naturally recorded on the odometer, it does not give a complete picture of the car’s present condition because so much restoration and mechanical work was completed late in its life.

The car has covered only 2,545 miles since the major £4,233 JabbaSport work at 184,500 miles, only 858 miles since the subsequent Stealth Racing work, and just 147 miles since its June 2023 service and exhaust installation.

The most recent recorded MOT mileage was 186,938 in March 2025, meaning the car has covered only 107 miles since then.

History and paperwork

The history file is exceptional and contains hundreds of invoices and receipts. These cover specialist work by JabbaSport and Stealth Racing, servicing, MOT history, replacement components and receipts for many of the individual smaller parts used during the restoration.

Only a small selection of the paperwork is shown in the photographs. The complete file is several inches thick and will be available for inspection with the car.

The car is HPI clear, has a V5C and will be supplied with a fresh 12-month MOT before collection.
