Ford Escort Cosworth Lux 1993A folder full of history, with old MOTs back to the ninetees, proving the mileage. Not like all these 20,000 ones for sale, without proof!
Rebuilt over the last few years, into a modified road legal track car, 100k build, every nut and bolt and component replaced or reconditioned, please see the spec below.
This will not be for everyone, as it's noisy, hard ride, and unfortunately it is on the damage register, but it pulls a crowd, is absolutely planted like its on rails and looks insane. If it doesn't bother you please read on....
Bare shell paint. Underneath is raptored, then painted. It is not concourse, but a 9/10. It looks absolutely stunning.
Map.Running gate pressure 12psi at the moment. Mapped by Vitali Kvartler, remote haltech/link specialist. I wanted to let every thing settle in before adding boost pressure. Tbh it's fast enough like this, around 300hp. You should see circa 500hp on the next map.
Management. Haltech elite 1500, PJM loom, coil packs, drive by wire throttle. Haltech ic7 digital dash. All warning lights, speedo, rev counter work.
Engine.200 block, ported head, double valve springs, wossner titanium valves, MAHLE pocketed pistons, forged rods, 6 long stud conversion, main stud arp conversion, knife edge balanced crank, king bearings throughout. Runs super quiet and smooth.
Boost system.Garrett G25 660 new series, internal waste gate, sitting on Walton motorsport manifold, rs 500 type airtec intercooler.
Fueling.Siemens 880 deca injectors, external 044 pump with swirl pot, fpr and AN fittings.
Transmission.Pete docherty big tooth straight cut gearbox. (Synchro) Capable of 600 plus bhp. Very noisy but I love the sound. Helix paddle clutch fitted.
SuspensionNew GAZ golds, adjustable TCAs, adjustable 6 degree rear beam that can take 7.5" differential.
Diffs.Front 3.9 qauife differential with strengthening plate.Rear 3.9 LSD 7". New shafts all round.
Brakes.AP racing CP555 fronts (360) older better calipers.Rear reyland setup fitted, although have some rear APs to go on.
Interior.Standard excellent condition black leatherRare atiwe rs steering wheel.Qauife short shifter (very rare)Sunroof motor bracket missing, headlining could do with redoing.
Wheels.One off rimscarnated 19 X 9.5 wheels. Not another cosworth with these fitted. No adapters or spacers fitted. They sit perfect and do not rub. Wrapped in new eagle F1 rubber.
Real carbon bonnet and splitters. Chrystal Morettes fitted.
As you can see a fortune has been spent on this. Probably not the best time to sell, but I fancy a change, maybe out of the ford world. So if you have an interesting swap or part X, please message me.
There are a lot of spares that can go with including the standard bonnet, instrument cluster, rebuilt standard gearbox and much more. I have also left the standard loom hidden on the car in case the new owner decides to go back to OE.
