BODYWORK AND RESTORATION

The shell was completely stripped, inspected and professionally repaired where required. All structural bodywork and paintwork were carried out by Wood & Pickett, with a respray to the correct factory colour specification. They also professionally fitted the headlining.

The restoration focused on preserving the Mini’s original character while thoroughly rebuilding its mechanical components. Parts included genuine Mini Spares products, original Mini components where appropriate and selected quality aftermarket replacements.

A new genuine rear subframe was fitted, and the front subframe was reconditioned.

ENGINE AND GEARBOX

The engine and gearbox were fully stripped, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt, with components replaced where required. Work included:

• +0.040-inch engine rebore, giving approximately 1310cc
• Professionally balanced crankshaft
• Rebuilt differential

The car runs well and is enjoyable to drive, with the lively feel and character of a classic carburettor Cooper.

INTERIOR AND WHEELS

The interior retains its correct Cooper seats and door cards and presents very well.

The original Cooper steering wheel was professionally re-leathered in January 2026 to its original specification, including the distinctive red stitching.

The original Minilite alloy wheels have been professionally refurbished and powder-coated. They are fitted with Falken 165/60 R12 tyres with excellent tread remaining.

CONDITION AND DOCUMENTATION

The underside is solid and has recently been recoated as part of ongoing preventative maintenance and preservation.

The car shows light cosmetic signs of careful use since its restoration. It has been maintained, driven and enjoyed, and prospective buyers are welcome to view it and look through the history folder.
