Renault 5 GT Turbo – £15,000

For sale is my Renault 5 GT Turbo, showing 114,000 miles. It’s a solid, straight car that has been rebuilt previously and drives beautifully. The paintwork has a great finish, with no dull patches or lacquer peel. The engine runs smoothly with no knocks, the gears engage cleanly, and the uprated brakes are excellent.

Engine and performance specification

• Fully rebuilt engine with forged pistons and rods
• Stage 3 ported cylinder head, double valve springs and fast road cam
• Hybrid T25/T28 turbo and front mounted intercooler
• Competition clutch
• Custom stainless steel exhaust
• Silicone breather and coolant hoses

Chassis and interior

• Gas coilovers and big brake kit
• 15-inch aftermarket wheels with new tyres
• Aftermarket front seats with original rear seats

The driveshafts, hubs, wheel bearings, wishbones and engine mounts have also been replaced. MOT until 23 June 2027.

Points to mention

The driver’s side skirt needs new clips and a seal. Some dash clips have broken, leaving the dash loose. There is a slight mark on the driver’s door edge and a paint mark on the lower passenger-side rear arch. The carburettor would benefit from rejetting on a rolling road, although this does not affect how the car drives.
