Here we have something a little different – a highly modified 2001 Ford Escort Mk6 Van which has had a considerable amount of time and money spent on it over the years.

The van came to us already fitted with a Mondeo 5-stud conversion and Airlift APV2 air-ride suspension. Since taking it on we have continued the work, including replacement sills followed by a full respray, along with further mechanical work. We suspect it may well have had an upgraded turbo along it's journey, as it performs very well for one of these!

Finished in white and sitting on 17-inch Compomotive alloy wheels, it has a fantastic stance and a proper old-school modified Ford look.

The RS2000 components suit the Mk6 van particularly well and, combined with the Compomotive wheels and adjustable air suspension, give it a really distinctive appearance.

AIR RIDE & MECHANICAL

The van came to us with its Airlift APV2 air-ride system already installed, including the tank and associated equipment housed in the rear.

It had also already undergone the Mondeo 5-stud conversion.

During our ownership we have carried out further work including:

New front brakes
New front lower suspension arms
Replacement sills
Full respray in Frozen white

INTERIOR & IN-CAR ENTERTAINMENT

The modifications continue inside.

The van benefits from Mk6 Escort front seats, an OMP sports steering wheel, white-faced instruments and a Pioneer touchscreen multimedia head unit.

There is also a substantial upgraded in-car entertainment system which includes Bass Face speakers, SP Audio tweeters, subwoofer and amplification, with further audio equipment installed within the rear.

The rear load area has been carpeted/trimmed and incorporates the audio installation along with the Airlift equipment leisure battery and air tank. Additional lighting has also been installed in the rear.
