Welcome to the sale of my beautiful 1985 Mk3 Escort XR3i.Restored over this last year after being off road for many years, stored in a dry barn.
Totally solid and didn't require any welding work, with original battery tray, inner wings and floors.
It has had wings in the past but really well fitted with perfect shut lines.
In Nimbus grey metallic, which is rare on a Mk3.
Full bare metal respray, with 2k primer over epoxy etch primer, then basecoat and 2k clear lacquer.
Injection metering unit fully reconditioned at "Greygoose Performance"
New fuel pump, fuel filters, fuel tank, fuel lines, injectors and seals etc.
All new brakes including, master cylinder, pads, shoes, wheel cylinders, pipes, flexi hoses etc.
New exhaust, new tyres on refurbished original Clover Leaf wheels.
New front and rear shock absorbers and rear suspension bushes.
Full set of new wheel nuts with locking nuts.
New starter motor, oil pressure switch, oil cap, cam belt, gaskets, battery, windscreen, wipers, tyres, radiator, thermostat,
Fully serviced original 1600cc CVH injection engine, with new filters, oil, cam belt, fan belt, seals etc
New clutch, 5 speed with lovely smooth gear change.
New decals and stripes in blue to match the seat piping.
Lovely interior with almost perfect seats and carpets. Great dash with absolutely no cracks or damage.
None original radio cassette fitted, could do with new rear speakers
Good rear parcel shelf with original speakers fitted
Digital clock works perfect, as does the tilt and slide original sunroof. Great headlining.
Front spot lights, not original Ford ones but are wired up and do work.
Electric front windows. Passenger side goes down ok but is very slow to go up and needs a helping hand!
Lovely straight car, not concourse but very nice and useable and drives just like an Xr3i should.
Showing 63000 miles but i have no history and with it being off road so long, it is not showing any previous mot detail to prove.
Judging by the seats, carpets, steering wheel wear etc, there is no reason to believe this is not genuine mileage.
The car can be viewed and driven any time in Doncaster area DN11. You can drive it home no problem, after clear funds received.
