I purchased this incredible M5 after looking and waiting for years for my ideal spec V10.
To own a “BMW’s finest hour” car, with a F1 V10 inspired engine, demanding presence on the road, but with the love and respect from others, has just simply been a dream.
I’m a german car enthusiast and owning many M3’s in the past this M5 was just perfect for me and I found it as a sizeable jump up the ladder in natural progression.
So, I am now a business owner working long hours spraying alloy wheels, now with seemingly limited time for toys, along with a growing family, “requirements & commitments”..  I am finding myself not using the car anywhere near as much as I thought I would, it’s now securely parked inside my garage on trickle charge throughout the week, with the view to use it after a hard week at work, - but at weekends with all the above mentioned it’s becoming more difficult to find time to drive these cars, fortunately I work on customers vehicles consistently throughout the year so alternately or just consciously perhaps the money would be better off temporarily suited back in the bank while I am growing my business.
Darragh from everything ‘M has recently breathed upon this very M5, and indeed been over it with a very fine tooth comb. - We agreed to get all the “traditional” tasks done while the car was in for a service with his team to future proof it for many problem free driving years ahead.
We went through many conversations of what would ideally be needed or simply best for the car then, before me eventually deciding to go the “whole hog, ie - the rod bearings which were now changed arguably early, along then with all the usual scenario “while your their jobs” we agreed, and this was all just done in March/April this year. Only around 500 miles ago).

Having Darragh’s advice and seed of approval on collection day with the comments of it “being a good one” - Im happy I know this car is so well presented.
I had visions for keeping the car “forever” or at least for long term ownership and dare I say it I wouldn’t have chosen to do all this work if I was planning on selling it which is abit of a kicker, but I am glad we spent the money in the right areas for the next custodian to enjoy.
However as you’ve read so far, let’s agree it’s a very rare sight indeed to see such a well presented V10 M5, to which I am certainly proud to have been part of the journey.
I worked for a BMW main dealer for around 10 years prior to opening my own business and so having a keen eye to identifying worthy cars has become useful, I haven’t yet seen another e60 with this spec or atleast in person before. It’s all there, with individual Indianapolis inside and outside. Premium audio, + extended leathers. Etc ..
To name some options :
CCC Active seat bolsters Heads up display Adaptive headlights Alacantra headlining Alacantra parcel shelf Premium stereo Heated seatsExtended leather Individual leather Tinted smoked glass (rear) Sunroof Wood trim6 disc changer Bluetooth adaptation DVD preparation Sat nav + usual seen refinements
Through personal choice I have added bigger air filters and a “mod stock” enhanced exhaust, both of these “mods” are somewhat considered the usual seen and found tweaks or customisation areas within E60 M5 ownership communities, and it now sits on brand new H&R springs with bimmecc spacers. -To which I have the original springs, so if someone was to wish to return this car to standard ride height it would be very easy with the original parts in just a few hours.

My business is called wheelhouse alloys we are located in Ipswich. I’m sure a few petrol heads already may have stumbled across us before.
The car has been viewed with a nod of appreciation from “Top Gears” Chris Harris (the man himself) and also Taylor from “Autoalex” in the YouTube world, now including Cav, widely seen in the detailing scene of “stjarnagloss”. And “Dad cars”. I am occasionally at shows when time allows and not a stranger to “jayemm on cars” either.
There is NO immediate rush to sell this beautiful M5 whatsoever ever, but if I have missed a few things from this advert, (and quite possible as I’m currently writing it with a abit of a heavy heart) -in which case, I will be likely to add any additional information and perhaps more photos in the coming days.
IF).. you have read this far, I am sure with 507bhp and a top speed over 200mph you’ll know these cars aren’t for the faint hearted, in which case joy riding test drives won’t be offered unless I see fit and we’re in serious conversations, The Private plate M55 JVL will happily remain on the car as I wont or dont have another car currently to suit it.
If I am completely honest, I have been through the mechanical side of the car, and if I was to keep it now I would likely send it in for a front respray to correct the usual front end stone chip / rock chip rash, -but being circa 19 years now so let’s be sensible about our expectations.
Possibly two rear tyres come spring time but I would fit four around this time anyway should the car remain here.
Prices for these V10 M5’s are set to climb with all the recent recognition and press reports they now rightly receive, therefore I’m no doubt absolutely sure I’ll regret selling it.
For now, Many thanks for reading
Please feel free to contact, anytime
James
