THE LISTING
About this vehicle
1985 MERCEDES 190E 2.3-16V COSWORTH.Welcome to the sale of my much loved, genuine, Mercedes 2.3-16v CosworthI have owned her for over 5 years during which lots of restoration work has been carried out. It is a much admired example of a truly iconic car.RHD UK car with the Manual gearbox "dogleg".104k genuine miles.Runs and drives great. All electrics fully working including sunroof
The car is officially registered with DVLA as a historic classic so is fully exempt from MOT/ULEZ/ROAD TAX being 40 years old now.
When purchased it was a rather tired but seemingly solid car, or so I thought. It was sent to a trusted classic car restoration workshop initially for a respray, but it soon became evident that a more in depth body restoration was required and it now rust free - see last photo for picture of the underside!
Other work carried out-Brake overhaul with callipers rebuilt, new flexible and solid pipes.Suspension completely refreshed with parts replaced as required.Engine serviced, new fuel pump, fuel sender and refurbished fuel distributor.Wheels refurbished with new tyres.
The interior still needs a bit of work to bring up to scratch with the exterior but nothing major - this may be done prior to sale and then the car will need nothing doing so the price will be adjusted to reflect this
The work was completed in the last few months and has not been used since hence the reason for sale.
There is a huge history folder going back decades.Private plate stays with the car.
An iconic car to either enjoy or tuck away as an investment. Super cheap to insure under classic car cover only £220 for me with an agreed valuation.
Genuine enquiries only please.
Viewing welcome
