Car was purchased car in 2018 from an 87-year-old gentleman who was no longer permitted to drive. We bought it as a long-term keeper and had never intended to sell it. The car has covered approximately 135,000 miles, supported by a substantial history folder, stamped service book, original handbook pack and an extensive collection of previous MOT certificates. The mileage is supported by the available MOT and service history, and the vehicle is HPI clear. A fresh MOT was completed today. The car remains fully standard in its factory specification, including its original side skirts, body kit, wheels, suspension and drivetrain. The only changes are a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo and an aftermarket alarm and immobiliser. Two sets of keys are supplied. the original side skirts and body kit were carefully removed so the areas behind them could be properly cleaned and polished before being refitted. The car has been garaged and maintained as a usable classic rather than simply stored away. The Getrag five-speed manual gearbox features the correct dog-leg first-gear layout. All gear-linkage components and bushes have been replaced during my ownership, greatly improving the precision of the gear change. The hydraulic self-levelling rear suspension is fully operational and works exactly as it should, which is an important feature of these cars and one that is often no longer functioning on other examples. Factory equipment includes: Electric windows all round Factory air conditioning Working lap-timer/stopwatch display Hydraulic self-levelling rear suspension Getrag five-speed dog-leg manual gearbox Original 2.5-16 body kit and side skirts Original checked sports interior The lap-timer display remains fully operational, which is increasingly unusual on these cars.
