About this vehicle
Escort 1979 Mk2 which has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration which saw the car stripped back to its body shell and rebuilt from there. As part of this a number of practical upgrades have been incorporated as well as bodywork changes to give it a Mexico/RS look. The engine has also been fully rebuilt and upgraded to give it performance to match the look. Wherever possible genuine Ford parts were used.Since restoration the car has always been garaged and has had dry use only. As an Historic vehicle the car is Tax and MOT exempt but I have been getting it MOT'ed which it has always passed with no advisories. When I first got the car I had it tuned on a rolling road and the attached printout confirmed 120.6 BHP with 122.4 lbft torque. The work was undertaken by the previous owner who provided a full photographic record. I have included a number in this listing to show some of what was done and the quality of the work.
