Believed to be one of approximately just 260 UK supplied saloons originally produced, this W202 C43 AMG represents a significant piece of AMG history. Built during the transition period where AMG evolved from independent tuner to full factory Mercedes performance division, the C43 has become recognised as one of the last truly analogue AMG cars. Powered by the legendary naturally aspirated 4.3 litre AMG V8 producing over 300bhp, the C43 delivers effortless performance, understated styling and the unmistakable character modern performance saloons struggle to replicate. This particular example benefits from a genuinely unique ownership history. Originally privately owned in Central London for the first three years of its life by Miss Glover, the car was later transferred into the renowned Rendlesham Estate Collection where it remained preserved as part of a private collection. It has since resided within its current enthusiast owner’s collection for the past three years, during which time the vehicle underwent an extensive 18 month restoration programme to return the car back to original condition using genuine and original specification parts wherever possible. Approximately £12,000 has been invested into the restoration alone. Unlike many surviving examples, this car has not been modified or abused.
