About this vehicle
1980 Vauxhall Royale 2.8 Auto Saloon Project.I have owned this Royale for the last nine years, however I have lost interest in the project and it needs to go to make space for other cars to be stored inside.
A few years ago it was converted to fuel injection using parts from a late Monza. It last ran in 2020 but then one day it wouldn’t start and i couldn’t get to the bottom of it.
There are a few spares to go with it. It’s fairly complete from memory. I can’t currently find the front number plate but it’s here somewhere, if I find it that will go with the car.It is solid underneath, the doors are excellent on it. I have done probably 80% of the cosmetic welding required, the last bit is on the nearside front wing, see pictures.
I also rebuilt the entire braking system, all four calipers have been rebuilt with new seals and pistons, new flexis, pads and rebuilt master cylinder, it hasn’t been on the road since then.
The interior is excellent. It also has the correct original radio which is worth quite a bit on its own.
The alloy wheels are in very good condition and have four virtually unused Michelin tyres I had fitted in 2018.
This car is worth a lot of money in bits, I would rather it were restored but that’s up to the new owner. I need the space.
I have the V5 in my name, it is registers as Historic, and there are some receipts etc with it.
I am located in Mid Lincolnshire approx midway between Boston and Horncastle, and it will need to be collected from there.Obviously it will need to be trailered.
