1961 Austin Seven Mini 1275cc Historic Rally Car with 1980s Reshell PROJECT

£5,000.00 Make Austin Model Mini Year 1961 Transmission Manual Fuel Petrol Engine Size 848 ccm Mileage 69,000 Miles Emission class 1961 Austin Mini Rally car with an 80s reshell and 1275cc engine. Registered 27/11/1961. Before reading further please keep in mind this is a project and not a prepared vehicle, it will be sold as spares/repairs as an unroadworthy vehicle because of this and therefore will need to be trailered/recovered away from our premises. This is a full rally car with Safety Devices roll cage, Brantz international 2 pro meter with twin displays, Cobra bucket seats with harnesses. Starts, runs and drives but sold as an ongoing project. The engine will need going through / a tune up as it is a little Smokey on acceleration but nothing hugely concerning. It is also a bit slow to turn over and sometimes needs the assistance of a booster pack. Holds temperature perfectly just had all the cooling system refreshed including the water pump. The gearbox jumps out of gears/struggles in 2nd,3rd and 4th while under load. It has had a new slave cylinder but the clutch still doesn’t spring back up properly so I would factor in a gearbox rebuild potentially and full clutch replacement if you are planning on keeping the current running gear in. Had a lot of new bits put on including rebuilt rear brakes with shoes and cylinders with Mini Fin drums. Front brakes are discs with green stuff brake pads. Hi lows all round. New battery. New Fletcher Aluminium radiator with silicone hose kit and high flow water pump. New clutch slave cylinder. New Power Spark electronic ignition and Viper ignition coil. New spark plugs and engine oil and filter. It still has its headlining and rear seats allowing entry into certain classes. The previous owner also told us it has a kent cam 276 and the cylinder head is from a Cooper S, although we have no way of confirming this. Mot and Tax exempt. Perfect for someone wanting a fun and rewarding project as it has a lot of potential just needs someone who can give it the extra time which we unfortunately cannot. Will make a great historic rally car / track car or great opportunity to engine swap with something like a K Series Honda VTEC engine if you wanted something absolutely mental. £5000 is the price with no offers. The shell is good, the subframes also good. Great opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding a fun project as they very rarely come around at this price point.All-terrain Automotive Limited
