About this vehicle
Selling on behalf of the family of a good friend who recently passed.Please see other Minis in ‘sellers other items’… there are more to follow.
This 1963 Cooper S replica has been fully restored and was purchased around 5 years ago as it displays here.
Extremely solid, straight and charming, its features a bored out 1380cc engine and stainless exhaust to boot.
Interior is in decent condition with just custom seats and panels. It reads 1289 miles on the clock, we don’t know the authenticity of this.
Taxed and insured currently with recent road use, it sports immaculate wheels and good tyres.
Restoration isn’t of a trailer queen standard but solid with only minimal amounts of surface rust, similar or less than that of a 10 year old car.
There are believed to be parts from 62, 63 and 64 cars contributing to the rebuild but fitment is good.
Nearly everything has been replaced underneath including brakes, suspension etc.
Paint pops well and with a decent polish would really glow. There are a few discrepancies here, I:e blister on the bonnet and a few mild bumps on the doors, you have to look for these, they are very few and far between but it shows no dents or nasty scratches.Chrome is very good, mild pitting at worst and mostly confined to the rad grill…this could be easily rectified.
Absolutely admired by all and raises plenty of smiles constantly, many often refer to the Italian Job film when discussing it.
Overall a fantastic looking and performing classic mini with plenty of charm and investment opportunities.
