1991 FORD ESCORT MK5 COSWORTH REPLICA SHOW CAR MAX POWER DAYS WITH MOT TILL APRIL 2027 .Before the mot i have put some fresh fuel, fitted another good battery , two new front tyres , front wiper blades, washer pump , and new front reg plate , its now passed the mot , couple of advisories nothing major , there is no rot underneath .ive posted a video of under the car while it was on the ramp so you can see . Ive driven the car to the mot station and back with no problems then i have done just under 50 miles taking it to the ford nationals 2026 show at Gaydon motor centre on Sunday 28th June and put it on display ( 1st few photos of it are at the show ) the car will still need a good service full fluid change etc and brake overhaul as its has been in dry storage for around 18 + years .The main description is below as i previously listed the car for sale before but with no mot and needed tyres etc . This is my ford escort Cosworth replica I built with my dad over 23 years ago I purchased this as a standard ford escort popular 1.3 in grey it took us 2-3 years to build it with a lot of time effort and money this was my first car on the road when I was 17. The Cosworth body kit is fibre glass mould kit it took a long time to fit but fitted very well . Its a mk5 escort but I modified the rear of the car to a mk6 to fit the rear Lexus lights the body and chassis is good the engine was originally a 1.3 but i changed this to a 1.6 CVH engine from a mk4 escort. The engine was fully rebuild with new head gasket valve seals etc and had a fully reconditioned gearbox with clutch. The interior is mainly all red with cobra front bucket seat's with harnesses. Comes with all the sound system what you see in the photos i cant remember the radio code this can be obtained from some Ebay listings for a small cost was all working perfectly fine before I put it in dry storage over 18+ years ago . I only had this on the road for 1 year when I moved into my own flat I couldn't afford the insurance at the time so I put it into storage and was planning to put it back on the road but never got around to it . It does still starts and drives but will need some work to put it back on the road. It will need a new battery, tyres ,brakes ,etc as it has been in dry storage for over 18+ years the heater matrix will need replacing as this is leaking. ( has been by passed for now ) The escort will need collecting on a trailer or recovery truck as it has no mot or tax and not been run on the road for 20 years there's a couple of small cracks in the body work and one wheel has some scratches (SEE PHOTOS) in the time I did have this on the road it turned many heads and got a lot of attention. It was in many car shows around the country am really sad about having to sell it but its not really something I can drive around at my age now and I have nowhere to keep it anymore as where its been stored is currently up for sale so its got to find a new owner to love it like i did and put it back on the road .SEE ALL PHOTOS CLOSELY AND CAREFULLY. you are welcome to come view if you wish I have the full v5 in my name any questions please do ask ..
