THE LISTING
About this vehicle
DGL 94D Mini Cooper s recreation
DGL 94D WAS purchased by myself back in 1990 from a local mini enthusiast ready to go in rally trim. It was used for a couple of local road rallies and then mothballed when my mk2 rally escort came along with the intention of using the mini again occasionally when time permitted.
Due to business commitments, running a busy Mini specialists and family life with no spare time it was left untouched & dry stored in my garage premises until December 2024 now being semi retired i decided it was about time it was restored.
Using any free time available and using my 50 plus years of experience working on minis it was stripped of all parts and evaluated for a sympathetic restoration, retaining as many original cooper s parts & body panels as possible.
The restoration was completed in March this year, taking a total of around 1200 hours. It has only been driven locally to a couple of car meets and has attracted immense interest.
Due to a new garage build to finance it is now available for sale at a reasonable price considering the labour and new parts purchased to complete the restoration. I have currently got an agreed insurance valuation of £25000 which honestly represents its true value.
The mini would be ideal as a weekend show stopper or could be used for historic motorsport events such as hill climb & regularity rallies.
The price reflects the authenticity and dedication to sympathetically restore this perfect example of a mk1 mini cooper s replica using original parts without the extreme cost of an original.
A photographic file will be included with the sale detailing all of the restoration work carried out with pre restoration photos dating back to 1990.
