THE LISTING
About this vehicle
Carlton GSI 24V Automatic1992 Vauxhall Carlton GSi 3000 24V Automatic fitted with Lotus body kit
I have owned this car for around 15 years. It runs and drives and looks great, but I am selling it as a restoration project / spares or repairs as I am unable to take on the remaining work.
The MOT is due to expire on 3rd October.
A lot of work has already been carried out during this time, including an engine replacement and gearbox rebuild approximately 4 years ago, a full respray, a recently fitted steering pump, viscous coupling and water pump. Welding and patching was also carried out for last year’s MOT.
Further welding is required and replacement seals are needed. The seals are available from Germany.
The electric windows are not working and the odometer is not working, so the current mileage is unknown.
Lotus body kit and spare parts
The car has a Lotus body kit fitted.
I purchased a complete replacement body kit to obtain a replacement front bumper, which is now fitted to the car and is in good condition. The remaining parts from that replacement kit are also included with the sale.
The original front bumper that was removed from the car is also included. It is damaged and is included as a spare / for repair.
Condition
The car runs and drives but will require further work and restoration. I do not know the full extent or cost of the work required, which is why I am selling it as a restoration project / spares or repairs.
Please study all the photographs carefully and ask any questions before bidding. Viewing is welcome and recommended.
Please satisfy yourself that you are happy with the condition of the car and the work required before bidding.
A rare and interesting classic Carlton GSi 3000 24V for someone with the time and ability to restore it.
Payment and collection
Payment by cash or bank transfer on collection.
The car will be released only once payment has been received and confirmed.
The auction will run for 7 days.
Good luck and happy bidding!
