About this vehicle
This listing is for a 1969 Escort MK1 2 door body shell ( No Logbook but both Tags are present ) including Bonnet, Boot and Doors. This had been laid up in a barn for 20+ years till purchased a few weeks ago.Overall it’s a very honest original car only having 1 previous floor repair ( in pics ). Engine bay is very good apart from one hole where the battery tray is, although it would probably be worth replacing the inner wing to get rid of the battery cut out.
Heater bowl, bulkhead, chassis legs, kick panels, A posts all very good.
There is a hole on the passenger floor pan which will need replacing along with the Back Arches, Sills and Rear Scuttle will need attention. Boot Floor is excellent, as are both wells.
There’s a dent on the passenger rear quarter, and also in the O/S Sill, it will need a door skin.
Structurally the doors, bonnet and boot are all very good only needing minor work. Being an early shell it has the smaller bonnet brackets, pins for the early washer bottle, different fuel filler hole etc.
Overall a good base to start a project and with it being an early car it would be perfect to re - shell an early twin cam.
