About this vehicle
Hello,This is an Ford Mk4 Escort xr3i cabriolet its being sold as a project not as concourse condition, a little about the car. Engine
starts first turn idles rough will supply a link below to view,but throttles/revs fine.
Body
Straight throughout with the exception of passenger side front wing has a little dink due to my stupidity with a jack handle,Bonnet could do with replacing as its rusty and hideous with after market scoop,boot lid has the holes for spoiler but spoiler not present.small patch on welding required on driverside sil, rest off the car is solid previously had batter tray welded.
Windows
are all fine,
Interior
seats(front and back) seems to be good not rips or taresdoor cards need replacing not great,dash is fine,
Roof
needs attention, fits and closes fine.Does it leak? no idea as the car has been stored for years in my unit.
Front bumper
damaged molding snapped after someone decided to put their weight on it,attachment bolts 2 missing one each side
Rear bumper
Good condition
I have replaced a few bits on the car with new parts, suspension, brakes, fuel pump.
Radiator is leaking no idea from where after 5 litres of coolant has escaped.
Warning as its something i have not addressed the braking system pipes seems to been replaced at some point and personally doesn't look to be a great job, after installing new discs and pads and bleeding the system they work but not been road tested!!
Fuel pump and cradle are new but wiring has not been completed.
The car has no Mot no Tax please do not turn up expecting to drive away it will need to be trailered /transported.The car is not stored at my home address but is not miles away either so for costings it wont affect this,
will be providing a few video links below concerning the car, can provide more in depth videos if required, viewing is welcome but by appointment as i work heavy hours. please take this into considering when messaging myself as response times will vary. Cash or Bank transfer is fine car released once funds have cleared.
