THE LISTING
About this vehicle
Mini mayfair 1985 998 63k MOT and TAX ExemptA project worked on by my late husband, unfinished due to ill health. So we'll start with the good stuff, work done and parts replaced:- service items such as oil, filters, points etc all new. Some of the larger items replaced would include the tyres, windscreen and seal around it, the passenger side front wing and the front panel behind the bumper and a sill, Door seal, Door mirrors. Tie bars, track rod ends, brake calipers and cylinders, flexi hoses.Aluminium radiator, heater. Inside carpets and seat belts. Many other smaller items replaced. The car is basically sound and running but not completed as a project, that's something for the next owner to carry on. The items replaced and money spent probably out way it's value so it's a great starting point as a project car to complete. Now the not so good bits, fortunately it's a short list. Having had a local mechanic put it on a ramp and test drive it, he reported a few things that need addressing and are as follows. There's a small area of corrosion/hole at the rear near subframe, the indicators and a headlight work intermittently so there's a connection problem somewhere, also the windscreen washers need attention. It's had new front suspension but some other bushes may need addressing. Engine starts no problem, ticks over nice but needs fettling. Second gear needs some attention. Loads done and parts replaced, a great project for completion if you don't fancy restoring a complete wreck. It doesn't obviously come with an mot and you'll need to make transport arrangements though I may be able to assist with that at extra cost if it's not too far away. Viewing by appointment. Thanks for looking and I'll answer questions as best I'm able, Rebecca.Vehicle specification
