About this vehicle
Very rare 1978 Opel Ascona 2 door coupe.Ideal rally build as a 400 replica being LHD. We have had a number of these 2 door Opel Ascona B and this is by far the best condition non-sunroof example we have seen in a long time.
Bullkhead, battery tray, sills, floors, A-pillars, doors, front chassis legs/swan necks etc are all very good, front left wing has been replaced. Right rear arch has been welded where the back seat goes......don't have the back seats.
Front jacking points need attention, mainly the left one. It has had a back left 1/4 panel replaced fairly neatly that has been joined above the back arch (arch is rusty) painted with ZG90.
Bonnet and boot lid are damaged that I would recommend replacing subject to application (have an good original bootlid available), other wise body work is pretty nice for a 47 year old car.
1.2 4 cylinder, manual with 440'000km, but does not run. There is a box with carb and distributor behind the passenger seat.
Car has all the Belgian registration documents.
I have 1.8 sump, mounts, getrag 240 if fitting a C20xe. Also have 5 stud Commodore rear axle and front hubs available separately.
