I’m offering for sale my Rover Mini 40 LE, a genuine limited edition example that I’ve spent the last four years restoring properly, with no corners cut.

I bought the car back in 2022 from a lady owner. It had been off the road for a while and needed work, and although it looked a bit sorry for itself at the time, I could see it was a solid, honest car and deserved to be brought back to life the right way.

Since then, it’s had a full restoration. All the usual Mini problem areas have been sorted properly—front end, scuttle, floors and anything else that needed doing. Once the metalwork was right, it went for a full bare metal respray inside and out, which has completely transformed the car.

Mechanically, I’ve been through everything. This wasn’t a quick tidy-up job—it’s been done properly. The running gear, suspension, braking system and steering have all been gone through and replaced or rebuilt where needed. The aim was simple: make it drive as good as it looks, and that’s exactly what it does.

I’ve got a big folder of receipts from Mini Spares and other suppliers, and more importantly, I’ve documented the whole build with photos from start to finish. Anyone serious about the car can see exactly what’s been done and how it’s been done.

The car now speaks for itself. It looks right, drives right, and gets the attention it deserves. It would make a great show car, weekend car, or just something to enjoy and be proud of owning.

It also comes with the original 40th Anniversary welcome pack in the silver case, which is a nice rare touch and something you don’t often see still with the cars.

I’m in no rush to sell this. A lot of time, effort and money has gone into it, and I’d like it to go to someone who genuinely appreciates what it is and continues to look after it.
