1996 ‘N’ Volvo 850 T5 Estate CD – Well Maintained, Great History, Ready to Enjoy

For sale is my Volvo 850 T5 CD Estate, which I’ve owned since the 12/08/2011. During my ownership it has been well maintained and has just gained a new MOT.

The car has been well maintained and upgrades include a original genuine T5R ECU taking the power to 240bhp, lowered by 40mm, stainless exhaust and a full set of 5 genuine T5R “Titan” wheels powder coated anthracite.

Speedometer odometer gear needs replacing (a common fault), but the speedo still works correctly – Showing approx 146000 miles but possibly nearer 170000.

The car comes with an extensive history file – the service book and folder are packed with receipts, showing how well it has been maintained over the years.

Mechanically, the car is excellent. It starts, drives and performs exactly as it should, with the automatic gearbox changing smoothly through all gears and the kick-down operating perfectly. It’s a reliable, comfortable classic that’s ready to be enjoyed and will only appreciate in value.

Bodywork:

As expected for a car of this age it has general age-related marks consistent with the car’s mileage, there are a few cosmetic imperfections:

Slight bubbling on the driver’s front wheelarch.

Small rust bubble on the O/F rear door.

Leather interior

Extra wood effect to the centre console (rare OEM optional extra)

Fitted Volvo dog guard that tucks up to the roof when not in use

4 previous owners including me. I have owned it since 2011. 

Unfortunately, prior to me owning the car, the previous owner scrapped the driver and passenger doors so the vehicle was salvaged due to the estimated repair costs out weighing the total vehicle value. Therefore, the registration number is non- transferable.
