About this vehicle

VW GOLF R32 6 speed manual, 3 dr hatch,
Taken in p/x at our Japanese import specialist garage for a more sensible daily option, the R32 is being offered here on a spares/repairs basis only as it falls short of our retail criteria for various reasons, firstly (and mainly) the customer/previous owner was honest enough to inform us that this car has a coolant loss issue that has not been diagnosed, the fact he arrived with a bottle of water in the car in prep tells us that this is something that will need addressing before regular use, there are no signs of an obvious leak where we have parked the car and it seems to hold it's temperature fine however we have only driven a very short distance as we did not want to cause any further issue, The interior fan will need some attention, it is off most of the time but intermittently will kick in then go off and on again at it's own will, I suspect the fan itself just needs freeing up as it clearly is not a power supply issue, Bodywork has seen better days, I have tried to highlight as much as possible all defects from a distance it looks the part, squint and it's mint but up close you probably want some paint correction to bring it up to standard,
Now if that scared you off there are some positives, there is an invoice for a recent timing chain change which is a huge plus for one of these and an expense you won't have to fork out on in the near future,The wheels have also recently been refurbished with an invoice,I am sure it has an aftermarket exhaust which has a lovely burble to it, the engine itself sounds very healthy from cold and in the short test drive we gave the clutch/gearbox and running gear appear in good order also, there is not much in terms of history other than what is listed above,
Overall this has potential to be one of if not the cheapest running R32's on the net, If you are a mechanic or know your way around one of these you could be in for a bargain but I will state again so it is crystal clear you are buying a car in need of repair, it will be sold as spares or repairs and not fit for purpose, It will drive on its own merit for loading purposes however once you have paid for the car it becomes your responsibility, This auction will run to the end and sell to the highest bidder, there is no reserve set above the starting bid,
BIDDERS ** if you have low or negative feedback please message me with a name and contact number before bidding or it will be retracted, Immediate contact after auction ends (it will be in your watch list you know what time the auction ends), collection to be made within 5 days of auction end from BS30 area of Bristol and this will need to be arranged by appointment, any non-payers/ghost bidders will be chased for fess and reported so lets not waste each others time, Bank transfer with cleared funds preferred but will accept cash, the car will be registered to you and a purchase invoice also, I may be able to help with delivery if required but this from a third party and if arrangements are made this payment is separate from the car itself and must be paid up front**
